What’s ‘safe area’ and why does it matter?

We recommend keeping text and logos at least 5mm from the edge for two reasons. 1 it gives the text room to breath and just looks better. 2 We have to allow for movement in the process, tolerances are finite but if you have a 1mm margin then the slight movement becomes more obvious.
